Dr. Debbie Yow- Director of Athletics at NC State University
Debbie Yow serves as North Carolina State University's Director of Athletics, being distinguished as the ACC's first female athletic director. She is also a member of the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame. She began her career as a coach at Williams and Eastern Guilford High School, then later at the University of Kentucky for their women's basketball team. She also served as head coach at Oral Roberts University and the University of Florida, where she later first worked as an administrator. Following her time at Florida, she continued to work as an administrator at UNC Greensboro. Dr. Yow's next positions were as athletic director at St. Louis and the University of Maryland. Some of her other notable roles include president of the National Association of Collegiate Athletic Directors and Division 1-A Athletic Directors Association, as well as being a current member of the National Football Foundation board of directors. In her eight years at NC State, the athletic department has improved to boast highest GSR in program history in Fall 2017 and highest finish in program history at number 15 in 2018.
Georgia Brown- Assistant Athletics Director for Administration at NC State University
Georgia Brown came to NC State in August 2013 as Assistant Athletics Director for Administration. She performs a broad range of tasks for the department including game operations duties, meeting coordination and oversight of the Athletics Hall of Fame elections and inductions. She is sport supervisor for women's basketball, gymnastics and softball. She also serves on the ACC Softball and Women's Basketball Committees. Prior to coming to NC State, Brown worked at the Atlantic Coast Conference office. She began there in August 2008 as Administrative Assistant for the Women’s Basketball department before being promoted to Assistant Director for Women’s Basketball and Assistant SWA in January 2010. She most recently served as a Director of Championships.
Paul Cox- Assistant Athletics Director of Compliance at North Carolina Central University
Paul Cox, ESQ is the Assistant Athletics Director of Compliance at North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. In this role, he reports directly to the Director of Athletics and works to educate, monitor, and verify compliance of NCAA rules for 15 NCAA teams. His role requires constant oversight on areas of recruiting, initial eligibility, continuing eligibility, playing and practice seasons, rules education and many others. Prior to accepting his current position, he worked as Compliance Coordinator at NCCU, Interim Director of Compliance, Eligibility Specialist and Compliance Intern at Coppin State University. Paul holds a M.B.A. from the University of Baltimore (2016), a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Baltimore School of Law (2014) and an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Business Management from North Carolina State University (2011).
Aaron Bessey- Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions at Lenoir-Rhyne
Aaron Bessey serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina. His role entails setting up sponsorships and promoting partners of the university. He previously worked at Georgia State University as Athletic Director of Marketing, helping to assist the team's transition to Turner Field and improve the overall game day environment. Prior to that role, Mr. Bessey ran the Mountaineers Kids Club at Appalachian State University as the Athletic Marketing Assistant and later Assistant Director of Promotions and Fan Engagement. He graduated in 2013 from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Sport Management and minors in Business Administration and Law and Justice.
David Wolfe- Assistant Director of Premium Sales at UCF
David has been in the sport industry for 6 years, full time, but has worked every football season in some sort of capacity since 2011. He graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2013 with a double major in Sport Management and Communication. He previously worked for The Aspire Group at Rutgers Athletics as a retention representative and the Pittsburgh Steelers as a Ticket Sales and Retention Account Executive before moving to his current position as Assistant Director of Premium Sales for UCF Athletics. He started there in July of 2017.
